A nation who had Kings and Queens, Royal dynasties and a widespread Armenian empire in the first century BC. under King Tigran II the Great.
Armenians are the first nation to adopt Christianity as the official religion of their state (301 A.D.). Throughout the centuries they have been persecuted and harassed by neighbouring countries and empires, but through all the turbulence and foreign domination, however, Armenians created a rich and a colourful culture, their own alphabet and a socioeconomic structure that has allowed them to preserve their distinct way of life.

lonely planet or some other travel show did a thing about armenia and azerbaijan a couple weeks ago on discovery. was really interesting and cities looked gorgeous.
and jason and the argonauts is one of my favourite films :P. ummm i think they said it was originally an armenian story.

Shunk..its not a text..these are the alphabet(in capital letters)..and yes in deed the city looks great..ive never been there,but pictures can say so many things,I`ll post some!And sorry never heared about your films:)

ok jason and the argonauts and the golden fleece story was actually greek so my mistake :P
but they did travel thru armenia on their way to get the golden fleece :D
